David Vidal’s two hour set was a spectacular sonic experience”
Billy Moschella, Jr., The Viper Room, Hollywood, CA
“He comes on stage, giving no indication of what is about to happen. Then he begins playing that slide guitar, slowly at first. Eyes close, bodies begin to sway. This is man’s music, that makes it okay to cry in front of your girlfriend…”
Greg Snaer, Artistic Director, TERI Institute, Oceanside CA
Fourth generation New Mexican David Vidal’s music is deeply rooted in the American experience. From a musical family, he was exposed to a variety of genres, learning to play guitar early, developing his unique style. He started writing his own material in his mid teens, later working as a staff writer, session player and producer in Los Angeles where his songs were placed in major films and television shows (My Cousin Vinny, Friday Night Lights, etc). A compelling solo performer, Vidal’s deceptively simple songs evoke both laughter and tears. His haunting and emotional slide guitar playing and honest voice are the perfect vehicles for story telling. When not on the road, he splits his time between Bluewater Lake, New Mexico and Bellingham, Washington.
